From time immemorial, prayer has been that bit in the Christian experience that people tend to struggle with-even more than Bible study. Though while Jesus was here on earth, He developed a personal culture of routine prayer on the Mount of Olives, His disciples seem to have struggled quite a bit in that regard. statistically the least attended gatherings. The whole concept of prayer for many appears to be, at best a chore and at worst, a bore. This book has been written to attempt to change that perspective. As someone who has gone through ups and downs in prayer myself-from times of strong devotion to dry spells- I wrote this not as an expert, but as a fellow traveler.
