Praying with the Gospels is a new series of books following the lectionary cycle which offers individuals ways of praying with the four Gospels. It encourages people to hear the distinctive voice of each Gospel, to explore what it teaches about prayer and to be led deeper into praying with the story of Jesus. Each volume includes a general introduction, followed by forty reflections and prayers on selected passages, focusing especially on our relationship to God in prayer and action, heart and living. God's Embrace follows the Gospel of Mark, and is the perfect accompaniment to Year B of the lectionary cycle.
