There is a dimension of caring that is open to a person of faith not enjoyed by the other helping professoins. Faith leaves the counsellor free and engaged in ministry when it seems as though he or she is doing nothing. This is caring ministry. She provides guidance on how to focus on feelings in the interaction between caregiver and the one receiving care.
