This volume contains the official minutes of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod and Ministerium of North Carolina and Adjacent Parts, documenting the proceedings of their meeting convened at St. Paul's Church, Orange County, North Carolina, in April 1839. These minutes offer a valuable glimpse into the religious life and organizational structure of the Lutheran community in the early 19th century South. They record discussions, decisions, and activities undertaken by the Synod and Ministerium, providing insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by the church during this period. A significant resource for researchers and historians interested in American religious history, Lutheranism, and the cultural landscape of North Carolina.
