In this volume of the Bible vs. Book of Mormon series, David Liscum subjects the Book of Helaman to a rigorous biblical, historical, and theological examination, revealing a pattern that cannot be dismissed as coincidence or cultural overlap. When read carefully and compared honestly with Scripture, Helaman does not read like ancient covenant history. It reads like a modern system of control encoded in religious language. At the heart of this book is a sustained and carefully documented argument: the worldview embedded in Helaman mirrors the worldview of Freemasonry far more closely than it reflects the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rather than presenting salvation as a finished work received by grace through faith, Helaman consistently advances a theology of secrecy, progressive enlightenment, oath-bound loyalty, and institutional authority. Power is preserved through hidden combinations. Obedience is enforced through fear of loss. Truth is tiered, restricted, and mediated through elites. These themes are not peripheral. They are structural.

Liscum demonstrates how Helaman normalizes secret oaths, celebrates loyalty over truth, and portrays infiltration of government, courts, and society as an effective means of preserving power. These are not biblical ideas. They are defining features of Masonic ideology. When Joseph Smith later entered Freemasonry and introduced temple rituals filled with secret signs, tokens, penalties, and oath-based silence, he did not introduce something new. He institutionalized what Helaman had already taught.

This is not an attack on individual Latter-day Saints. It is a direct challenge to a system. The aim of this book is not mockery, but rescue. It calls readers to test all things by Scripture, to reject false gospels no matter how familiar they feel, and to return to the Christ who saves openly, freely, and finally.

If the Book of Mormon were true, it would harmonize with the Bible. Helaman does not. And once the Masonic framework embedded within it is recognized, it cannot be unseen.
