There is a widespread need in the church for more appropriate teaching materials for people with special needs. This book offers tried and tested advice, not only on how to develop such a ministry but also on how best to integrate adults with developmental disabilitites into the church community. It includes music, clip art and sample letters for soliciting support and is aimed at ministers, teachers, friends and relatives of adults and older youth with developmental disabilities. Written by an experienced teacher, this book grew out of the author's research for an appropriate curriculum for her own son, who has Downs syndrome.
