Jesus had a lot to say about money: the widow's mites, a camel through the eye of the needle, the parable of the lost coin, the parable of talents, these and many more lessons Jesus taught using money as an illustration.Unfortunately today, whenever our pastors preach on anything to do with money, anxiety grips us. If we are truly followers of Jesus Christ, how can any teaching in the Bible give us anxiety? Through an extensive study of scripture, I am confident the heart conflict often lies with the church teaching an Old Testament tax (tithing) rather than teaching how to listen and follow the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that this book does not divide but encourages people to investigate and determine from scripture how to give by the power and leading of the Holy Spirit rather than out of guilt or duty, and therefore, becoming a Cheerful Giver.
