The work at hand is a companion volume to "The Parish Register of St. Peter's--1680-1787," available from Clearfield Company. "The Vestry Book" places a particular individual in New Kent County at a specific point in time between 1682 and 1758, by means of lists of attendance at vestry meetings, tithables, accounts owed to or by the parish for services, and lists of road crews. All told, more than 3,000 references to parish members may be found in the surname/subject index at the back of the volume.
