UPPERROOM Founder and Senior Leader, Michael Miller shares his story of how God pruned him of all his strengths and skills and taught him an "upside-down" approach to church planting in a post-Christian cultural context.

As UPPERROOM grew, Miller grew in conviction that ministry to the Lord is every believer's first and primary calling. Jesus said ""My house will be a house of prayer"" (Matt. 21:13), and UPPERROOM is now a house of prayer committed to ministering to the Lord every morning, noon and night. His House, His Presence is God's primary design for His church--a resting place for His presence on earth.

His House, His Presence will help sharpen the eyes and tune the ears of faith leaders to what is most important in their pure desire to follow the Lord's leadership, equip His church, seek His manifest presence on earth today, and prepare for His return. Miller identifies the keys and obstacles to being a presence-focused leader through his personal testimony and revelation of how to individually and corporately seek the presence of the Lord by first and foremost ministering to Him.

Miller unpacks the theology of God's original intent for creation, the Garden of Eden, the tabernacle of David, and the modern-day church-to be a resting place for His manifest presence to dwell with His people. Miller defines Biblical leadership as first being a yielded follower of Jesus, surrendered to His perfect leadership. Biblical leaders point others to behold Jesus, pursue and prioritize His presence in every church service, and yield their leadership to the desires of Jesus-that His house would be a house of prayer.

This will propel the church into the immeasurable elements of God's Kingdom on earth as we prepare and wait for the return of Jesus. Relevant to every Christian believer, and especially for faith leaders, His House, His Presence will ignite conviction, simplicity, a return to Jesus, our first love, and a true longing for His return.
