Anglicanism Reimagined was an interesting look at the way the church connects with the world from a philosophical rather than practical angle. He writes that the church should be an open conversation which is looking for the truth - not so much truth as factual accuracy but truth as openness towards God. One chapter looks at conservatives and liberals and the way in which both focus on good things but that both also have become polarised when they should instead pool their strengths. His chapter on baptism and the true meaning that it can convey was helpful but I couldn't help feeling that his view of what the church could be, although praiseworthy and something for which we should strive, is so far removed from its day-to-day reality that it's rather an impossible dream.
