His commandments are a way of God expressing His love for us; His laws are not to harm us but to protect and direct us from making wrong choices that would lead us to eternal destruction. God loves us and wants our joy to be full! When we abide by God's laws as believers, we demonstrate our love and respect for Him. The Almighty God has given us free will to choose which path to take, either the path that leads to death or the path that leads to eternal life.
