There's a lot of "how to" in this book. There's a lot of "real answers" and "explain it all" in this book. And yes, there's some "maybe it doesn't mean what they say" here, too. We pray that readers discover that this book helps you also trust God, believe the Bible, and have saving faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. We open with some Real Answers were many of our members have encountered "it's a mystery of God" kind of answers - talking about the Trinity, Jesus being God, and where God came from. We talk about whether people are eternal beings without using the Bible or any other religious belief to explore the issue. We give our answer on Heaven and Hell and how that's even remotely fair. We answer the question of evil and suffering.Then we explain more of how approach to faith. That's part of explain-it-all. Yes, it's closely related to "real answers" except that often people don't actually have these questions. We introduce a series of ideas that are either particularly important to us or "signature" to Quest Xian and explain. We trust that it makes sense to you once you get the explanation. Notice that we don't just say "take it on faith" which is often code for "just trust me and don't ask questions." We love questions. We often say "hard questions welcome; impossible questions preferred." There's only a little "maybe it doesn't mean what they say" in this book. Most of that is in the second book in this series. For those of us with some exposure to some elements of Christianity, even some of what's in here will be different. When we get to Ten Seconds Per Day and the chapters on Bible Reading, Prayer, and Fellowship, that's pretty solid "How To." The chapters on Gossip and Temptation are helpful to guide some choices, too. This book is for everyone. Yes, we talk a bit about the Quest Xian way of doing things. These are all things anyone can make use of in most churches.
