In six chapters, Dora Nash tells the story of the life of Blessed John Henry Newman. Newman's early life and work, his conversion to the Catholic Church, and his later years as an apologist, Oratorian priest and Cardinal are all introduced, along with extracts from his writings accessible to young students.

Each chapter is illustrated with photographs of objects or places associated with Newman and concludes with a series of puzzles, activities and research suggestions.
