Despite what some may believe, Christ will return, and our job is to always be ready. There is a sense of urgency of preparation. The latter rain is biblically symbolic for the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit, by which the corporate spiritual experience of God's church will be brought to ripeness for the harvest.
