In Powerful Prayers for Troubled Times, Stormie Omartian challenges Christians to pray for the land we call home. In this easy-to-carry pocket book, Stormie tackles genuine questions about praying for our country. She offers sample prayers you can use to pray for government and community leaders, the heroic men and women who protect us (police officers, firefighters, soldiers), and the welfare and healing of our nation. Youll find help in your prayer life for situations like these:

Why do bad things happen to innocent people?
How do we pray for our enemies?
What does it mean to be a nation whose God is the Lord?

You will also find encouragement for today and hope for the future as you join with other believers and, as one people, offer up our country to God in prayer.
