Th Book of the Gospels was delivered in a box with a piece of crumpled brown paper placed on top offering no real protection to prevent it moving about in transit and the spine of the binding was damaged on delivery. A second copy was dispatched and I was notified by Yodel that it had been delivered two days earlier than I requested since I was away from home. They informed me the parcel had been left in an outhouse which I don’t have. In reality, the package was left hidden between a privet hedge and the front wall of my house where it received no protection from the heavy rain that day and the box was sodden. Again, on opening the box, the product had been packaged in exactly the same way as the first occasion. At £95.50 a copy, I have to say Eden’s appears to take a very casual approach to ensuring goods are received in a fit state. As for the product itself, the binding is very poor quality and would explain why every copy I see in local churches invariably has a damaged spine regardless of age.
