I am convinced that a biblical relationship with God is necessary for a successful marriage. Everyone will need to talk to an outside party, either directly or indirectly, especially when the marriage relationship is shaky, sputtering, or stalled. These kinds of emotional challenges are a result of our human individuality and independence. Even if a friend, counselor, or minister is called upon, he or she can advise only up to a point. When biblical principles are embraced, the advice given will go further and deeper because the Word of God never returns void and God will watch over His Word to assure its success. We should look at marriage difficulties not as closed doors but as a recipe for possibilities.
