Vanessa Owens Chambers was led to write Families of Love and Hate as she had many people in her life tell her they loved her, yet she felt another way. In life, no matter how hard you try, there may be people who do not like you. Chambers has seen all types of people and was educated to treat everyone with kindness by her parents. Even in one's own family, there will be those with whom you do not get along. Through this book, Chambers will teach you to be kind and to let the pain brush off should anyone not like you for you.

About the Author

Vanessa Owens Chambers is a native of Stanly County and grew up in New London, North Carolina where she resides to this day. She was one of eleven children to her parents Leroy and Mattie, six boys and five girls. Her family was very close and loved each other, even through their disagreements.

Chambers is married to a wonderful man of God, Kenneth and they are blessed with two beautiful daughters and one son, Kimberly, Stephanie, and Nathan. They are also blessed with two great sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
