It is clear that many young people today are sexually active, and almost none of them hold this reality as a matter of concern. Youth, whether Christian or otherwise, seem not to have heard the words of Solomon, who wrote, "There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). They take for granted that it is good, and even advisable, to experience sex before marriage.

The purpose of this book is to promote among young people a culture of virginity and chastity until marriage. Disciplined and well-behaved youth are the gauge of a good society. I therefore propose human dignity and Christian values as an exemplary paradigm for young people to imitate.
