Can Katie lead Charles to God in time before the mobsters "take him out"?

Katie is killed in a car wreck with her family. Shallow and self-centered, she is sent back to earth on a spiritual mission.

Charles is about to take a flying leap off his apartment building roof because two mobsters are trailing him. Katie crashes into him and knocks him down. Charles meets Katie and forgets he ever wanted to die.

Together, they embark on a series of exciting adventures from Nashville, Tennessee, to Carthage, Missouri. Meanwhile, Katie is doing her best to bring Charles closer to God, but she must hurry. Time is ticking, and the mobsters are coming!
