This book 'History of the Catholic Missions in Northeast India: A Case study of the Bethany Sisters' is a fascinating documentation of the beginnings of the Congregation of the Bethany Sisters in Mangalore and the challenging start of a mission in Kolasib, Mizoram. Thereafter the Bethany Sisters have spread their endeavours to numerous centres across the Northeast and have left an indelible mark of their work. Our knowledge of the functions of such lesser known Sisters' Congregations of the Catholic Church widens our understanding of mission in its many dimensions.
