Touch Wood: A Resource Exploring the Words of Jesus on the Cross

Touch Wood is a Lent resource exploring the sayings of the cross, and is suitable for use in youth groups, as part of an all-age service or for times of personal devotion.

The book consists of 7 sections. Each one takes a saying of the cross and examines it in a number of ways: through a Bible passage; through a drama exploring the Bible passage from a different per­spective; through background infor­mation given to explain the culture and tradition of the time; through questions aimed to encourage dis­cussion and medi­tation, as well as providing sug­gestions for worship songs reflecting the theme.

Whether used in a group or individually, Touch Wood is intended to make us think more closely about the final hours of Jesus on the cross, and the effect it can have on our lives.
