When Regret Feels Final

Regret is one of the most honest emotions we carry.

It does not shout.
It lingers.
It surfaces quietly in ordinary moments -
in an empty room,
in a passing memory,
in a financial statement,
in a strained relationship,

in a question that begins with "What if?"

Regret asks:

What could have been?
What should have been?
What did I miss?

But beneath those questions lies a deeper one:

Did I ruin something beyond repair?

This book was not written from theory.

It was written from experience.
I have known family fracture.
I have watched friendships shift.
I have questioned career choices.
I have experienced church hurt.
I have endured seasons when God felt silent.

And yet - here I stand - convinced of something I could not always see:

Nothing was wasted.
Not because everything was good.
But because God is sovereign.

Romans 8:28 has moved in my life from comforting slogan to lived testimony:

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

This book will not erase regret.

It will reinterpret it.
It will not minimize pain.
It will place it inside providence.
It will not promise ease.
It will promise redemption.

What now that the marriage ended?
What now that the friendship faded?
What now that the career path feels misaligned?
What now that church wounded you?
What now that God feels silent?

What now?

The answer is not denial.
The answer is not distraction.
The answer is not comparison.

The answer is redemption.
