It is generally believed that unless you have the calling of God in your life you cannot lead a congregation or let alone attend Pastoral school or pastor a church a church of God. Having a call is generally described as having one of the fivefold offices in your life as means; an apostle, a prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher. As much as it is traditionally thought so, it is Biblically not so. For Biblically there are ministers of God that are born ministers but there are also ministers of God that are created by circumstances.

It was circumstances that called the seven in the book of Acts who are among the first deacons of the Christian church. It is not a new thing as even Moses had to share the spirit of God in him with seventy other elders and they all began prophesying. The office of helps do not just mature in its self, but one can even be raised to the latter level of overseer or bishop, which is a continence of the office that starts as the office of assistant or help.

So, the modern church is much in to the called, but even where the called serve. There is a need for others to serve in other vital areas of ministry but can be filled with the spirit filled among us as bishops and deacons.
