Jewish culture is the format that God used as He communicated to the Jewish people a message that was intended for the whole world. Understanding the Jewish culture of the writers of the Bible is absolutely necessary to be able to interpret the Bible.

This book is a part of the study of Hermeneutics. With this book, Pastor Michael D. McCubbins, Th.D., an internationally acclaimed Bible scholar, will allow you to see the Scriptures through the eyes of a Jewish Baptist pastor. With this book, you will learn:

  • How Jewish customs affected the language of the Bible
  • How to interpret difficult passages of the Bible
  • The worldview of the writers of the Bible
  • The Jewish, idiomatic phrases used by the writers of the Bible and what they mean
  • How Jesus used the Hebrew Aleph-bet to illustrate truth

My hope is that this book will aid you as you seek to understand the Scriptures better.
