In the early 1900s, deep in the interior of North New Georgia, Silas Eta grew up like any other village boy. And yet, the Holy Spirit was already at work, preparing him for a purpose beyond human design.

Such spiritual revelation could not be contained, and - despite opposition from intellectual-minded Methodist clerics - the Holy Spirit spread across the islands, transforming hearts, minds, and spirits and revealing itself fully in the flesh of Holy Mama. In 1960, a final rejection from the Methodist Mission led to the birth of the Christian Fellowship Church - a church where the Holy Spirit, rather than hierarchy, guides the faithful.
