About the Author

From the breaking to the remaking, MakeHer emerges from the quiet work of being undone and remade - a gentle, faith-filled devotional for women longing to rediscover who they are and Who they belong to.

Written for seasons of loss, transition, rebuilding, or quiet ache, MakeHer offers a compassionate companion through the tender work of becoming whole again. Rooted in Scripture and shaped through lived experience, these reflections invite you to return to your God-given identity, reconnect with your voice, and walk closely with the God who restores.

Across stories, contemplative practices, and prayerful guidance, you'll explore themes of identity, spiritual growth, creativity, and hope. Each chapter creates space for rest and reflection, meeting you where you are and gently lifting your eyes back to the One who faithfully remakes every part of your story.

If you're longing for a more grounded, spacious way of living - one shaped not by striving, but by God's presence - MakeHer will guide you back to the truth of who you are: beloved, chosen, and deeply seen.

About the AuthorWendy Shipman is a contemplative artist, writer, and creative guide whose work invites women into a more grounded, spacious way of living. Through gentle practices, reflective storytelling, and a deep commitment to presence over performance, she helps women reconnect with their God-given identity and rediscover creativity as a restorative, spiritual practice.

She is developing MakeHer Studio as a quiet, intentional space for women to breathe, create, and belong - a growing expression of her desire to offer art and reflection as pathways back to wholeness. Wendy's work is shaped by seasons of loss, rebuilding, and renewal, and she writes with a tenderness that meets women right where they are.

She lives on the Kapiti Coast of Aotearoa New Zealand, where she paints, writes, and walks the long, quiet beaches that inspire her contemplative approach to creativity and faith.
