Mr. Erhart was born and raised on a farm in northern Illinois. His love of nature is home grown with the woods, pastures, and creek on or near the farm. Later, discovering the outside world of state and national parks led to a deeper love, and as you might expect, there is a love of fishing, camping, and hiking that he has passed on to his family. You will find his love of country in these pages which he attributes to God and his military background.

His gifting with the written word, although having known about it most of his life, had never considered pursuing it in a professional manner. But his prompting from God through his poems has proven to be inspirational to many who hear him read and share God's message. So, in sharing several poems in his church and with friends over the years, one thing lead to another... Mr. Erhart and his wife of 34 years enjoy their 3 children and the newest chapter in their lives - grandparenthood! Celebrating their first grandbaby with joy and looking forward to quite a few more with a little cooperation..."
