Before Billie could form her earliest memories, a guardian angel was already watching over her.

She was three years old when she watched her house burn to the ground. She was younger still when her stepfather--a man she was never allowed to call anything but "Sir"--began the abuse that would shatter her childhood and scatter her siblings into foster homes and boys' homes for troubled youth. Through it all, one steady presence never left her side: her older sister, Vicki, an "Irish twin" born just months apart, who became her fiercest protector and closest friend.

While Angels Wait traces Billie's journey from a fractured, violent childhood in Cincinnati to a life she never could have imagined for herself--as a devoted wife, a registered nurse, and the mother of five daughters. Woven through her true story are glimpses into the unseen realm, where angels watch, wait, and minister according to a purpose only Heaven fully understands.

This is a story of survival, but more than that, it's a testimony of what happens when broken places are handed over to a God who redeems them. Billie writes with raw honesty about trauma, abandonment, and fear--and with even greater conviction about grace, deliverance, and the faithfulness of a God who never once looked away.

If you've ever wondered whether your darkest chapters could still lead somewhere beautiful, this is the story you've been waiting for.
