The continued advancement of the Christian church despite all the efforts by religious and political powers to eradicate it from its birth is a marvel of history. The Book of Acts in the Bible gives us a historical snapshot of the early years of the church including various efforts to snuff it out. But it continued to thrive and expanded its horizons to the westernmost tip of the Roman Empire in the first century. It has continued that thrust and circumnavigated our globe in its reach.
