Have you ever found yourself studying God's word and something within the words just hit you differently, like never before?

I have read those scriptures many times before throughout my mid-of-life and something within the message just lands differently on my heart. A thought, a word, a phrase, and your mind just takes you to a new place of understanding. Sometimes it's even with imagery. I can clearly see it in my thoughts, making it even more understandable. I ponder on it, talk it out and retain the words so much more.

This happens to me more often than not. A newfound understanding, or a thought concept I had never realized comes to life within my mind and lands in my heart. I call them "Ah ha" moments. They stand out like a neon sign pointing to a new application of the words found in scripture.

Southern living is simple. As I have grown older, I enjoy the simple life. Easy and slow, no hurry, no worry kind of lifestyle. Applying this mindset to studying God's word has made it so much easier to understand. I do believe that is why I understand so much of it better. Slowing down, taking notes, fully understanding the message that my Heavenly Father brought to my table.

Simple Southern Jesus is all about my Jesus moments. Those "Ah ha" times that simply helped me get the message and retain it enough to share it. My prayer is that you get my thoughts, apply it to your heart, and share it!
