I lived and worked hard like I alone had the power to save my family and get us through any difficulty. I felt like success was in the palm of my hand-if I just tried harder, worked harder, or sacrificed just a little bit more. Despite all my striving, sacrificing, and hard work, I always ended up at the same place, facing those feelings of failure, suffering, and loneliness, unable to keep up the pace required to succeed in this world. In God Speaks to the Brokenhearted, you will share in my journey from failure to faith, learning how I went from living a faithless, hopeless life to one filled with hope and abundant blessings. God showed up in my darkest hour and spoke the truth of Jesus Christ into my life. And He can do the same for you!

Shawn Ramseyer considers herself to be an average American woman. She has enjoyed a twenty-three-year career as a health-care professional, starting out as a registered nurse and working her way up to an administrative and leadership role. She attributes her leadership skills to her personal life experiences and her journey from atheism to Christianity. Having to lead her family through many difficulties and serious life events opened the space for God to speak and work through her life.
