Corporate lackey, Ed Hill, is sent to the island of Milau to investigate a supply chain problem, only to find himself embroiled in turmoil as the island is upended by a rigged election, a terrorist plot, and the assassination of its president. While trying to stay neutral amid the chaos, Hill will become the only witness to the bizarre disappearance of the island's entire population led by the ageless prophetess known only as "the little girl."
