I have wanted to write a book about the "business of medicine" for a long time now. "Why?", you ask. The reason is because I have seen so many doctors give up, switch careers, or sell out to large conglomerates of health care employers because the physicians were not able to succeed on their own. This has been so hard for me to watch. Unfortunately, the business of medicine is not taught in, or part of, medical school curriculums. As such, these poor health care providers just went into the profession blind. They had no idea what to expect. There was no guidance or direction provided during their training. There was just ignorance and naivet
