The author became a widow after 34 years of marriage. She was not mentally prepared for the gravity of the loss, and so she began journaling and sharing her thoughts as she traveled the initial grief process. As individuals reached out and voiced appreciation for her transparency and willingness to share her personal journey, she was encouraged to put her thoughts into a book: this book. Her hope is, by sharing, she may help others through their own personal journey, realizing that everyone's journey is their own, and every journey can be very difficult and challenging. Her prayer is that this book may be a blessing to all those who read it who are hurting from their loss.
