Four Harvard students embark upon a ninety-day Medical Studies Abroad Program. Expected at one village to work with the local health promoter, their boat is stuck in a sandbar, the crew abandons them, and they are later kidnapped by a hostile tribe. Just before they are executed, the village chief returns from a fishing trip and stops the execution. An unknown disease has ravaged the village, claiming the life of the chief's wife, and now, his only daughter hangs on by a thread. Through divine intervention, the students are given a chance to try and save the daughter's life. Can they find a cure before she dies too? Can they find the cause of this deadly disease before this and other villages are annihilated? Can the shaman's jungle medicine be part of the cure? It is a race against time, cultural differences, and an evil plot to destroy the villagers and the students sent to save them. Can one man's faith in his childhood God spare their lives and expose the wicked plans of the enemy?
