Looking over her shoulder, Holly wanders the streets of a small, coastal town, searching for a place to eat and sleep without being noticed. With a baby due any day, she fled her home in the mountains of Tennessee in search of safety from her abuser.

In an unlikely twist of luck, Holly happens upon a vacant beach home, which she enters and makes herself at home in. The beach cottage becomes a refuge when the time arrives to give birth, but the question of how long it will be before someone finds her burns in the back of her mind.

Holly and her newborn baby, Ivy, are eventually discovered inside the borrowed beach cottage, just as she knew they would someday be. But strangely, Holly recognizes one who enters the cottage to find them.

Will Holly be able to escape her past, or will it follow her to the ocean and beyond?
