The Claiming Destination Series continues in Book 4, "The Bitter Fruit" as Dillon discovers Isabelle has an important path to travel and he must protect her no matter the cost to himself. That cost involves his personal battle with his own demons as UEF spies on a mission work to wrest the girl away from him.

Natalie pays the price as she joins Alpha's small military, while Coltan deals with the lingering trauma of his past linked to one of his fellow refugees.

In the meantime, the emerging UEF dictatorship continues to use their mords to establish complete control of the outside world as new arrivals at Alpha bring both assistance and peril to the refuge.
