For months, Phil Banowski scoured the bowels of the earth desperate to free his daughter Markey from alien clutches. The group he's with--the Earth Resistance Movement--promised to aid his small band of fighters. So far, they've kept Phil and his companions in a vise stronger than the moldy dungeons trapping Markey.

By chance, Phil stumbles upon a collider that transports him back into the alien's realm. Angelo, a friend from the past, appears and promises to help Phil. But what if Angelo learns about Phil's past? Could this new friend become a greater threat than the very aliens they are trying to fight?

And what about Mycroft Klant, the mysterious associate who arrives on the scene after Phil slips into the other realm? Is Klant there to help the small group of resistors as he claims? Or will he further enslave them?
