The archangel Michael and the fallen archangel Lucifer come face-to-face for perhaps their final battle when Lucifer directly confronts Michael in Detroit in AD 2023. Unknown to Michael is that Lucifer harbors an advantage that gives him power beyond his norm. What Michael knows all too well is the physical and spiritual toll taken on him after thousands of years pursuing Lucifer on earth. Michael will need to rely on his fellow angels and, most heavily, on the humans he was commissioned to protect by the Almighty at the dawn of creation if he is to prevail.

This book is the first part in a trilogy of Michael's Modern Chronicles and of a larger interconnected universe of the other characters and their adventures.
