A heartbreaking tragedy. A routine DNA test. A secret that changes everything.

Returning from her dream Italian honeymoon, Ally Malcom expects to ease into newlywed life with Neal. Instead, they are hit with devastating news: Ally's niece, Rachel, and her boyfriend have been killed in a fatal car crash.

When her sister and brother-in-law are asked to give their DNA for identification, Ally sends hers to a company that is used by law enforcement. She never imagined a simple test would shatter her entire reality, revealing that the man who raised her isn't her biological father.

Confronted with the truth, Ally's mother admits to a long-buried affair and a secret she hoped would die with her. Now, as old family foundations crumble, Ally is caught between leaving the past alone or hunting down the truth about her real father, even if uncovering it threatens her relationship with her family, and she faces rejection from her biological father.
