Brooke Holloway is struggling to juggle life in the absence of her late husband. With two children and the family hardware store to run, life is too busy to even think about falling in love. So when a mysterious buyer rolls into their small town in Texas the whole town is gossiping about the lone man and his recent divorce. Is this a God send – or are her feelings for this man dishonoring her husband’s memory?

This thoroughly entertaining tale captures the scent of a sweet romance with authentic characters, genuine faith discussions and the dealing with anguish of loss and betrayal. Although it sounds a little gloomy, don’t be put off, as Beth Wiseman’s expertly balances tender moments with humourous ones.
