The Brandon Shewings is the first of six books of the Woodsman of Anglia series. The woodsman of Anglia describes the visions he walks through. and sets forth the first 41 showings. Employing the literary device of pseudo-Dionysius, the woodsman writes from pre-Reformation 15th-century rural North West Suffolk England. The woodsman\'s view of many Christian themes is unusual but not unorthodox, radical yet loyal to the Catholic faith. The text is fully footnoted and introduces the reader to a wide range of ancient non-Kabbalistic Jewish and Christian legends, beliefs, and mystical Christian propositions. This text is markedly different from other Christian mystical texts.
