An ordinary day turns out to be her worst nightmare.

Alyson Reynolds is living her best life in Portland, Oregon, attending college and rooming with her best friends. As unexplained events turn ordinary people into killers, nicknamed Star Brights online, Alyson is forced into a deadly struggle.

After narrowly escaping certain death, she and her family hunker down at their coastal home, intending to wait out the weirdness. Soon, the entire state of Oregon is in lockdown. But then it becomes too dangerous to stay, not just because of the Star Brights but because a corrupt police officer targets Alyson's dad. They eventually make the only choice they can... sneak out of Oregon and head for Alyson's grandparents' cabin in Wyoming.

But the trip won't be easy with the threats of Star Brights and other hostiles. It might even be deadly.
