When a habitable planet is discovered just four light years from Earth, governments and private corporations rush to build a great ship to carry the first humans there. But only five of the two hundred colonists sent to this new world survive the sixty-year journey.

As their ship comes into orbit around the new planet, the surviving colonists wake from cryosleep to find themselves surrounded by death. Scrambling to make sense of what has happened, they realize that their own lives are under threat. Pursued by their enemies, they escape to the surface of the new planet, where they're caught between their human adversaries and whatever the planet throws at them.

Hunted and afraid, the survivors fight to stay alive as circumstances drive them towards a final, deadly confrontation.
