If Not for You follows a US congressman from Rhode Island, John Tucker Anderson, whose wife and daughter were killed in an auto accident, and a divorced congresswoman from Nevada, Jill Daugherty, who battle each other in Congress while forging a love relationship. Both fight the need for inner transformation but find their lives need more than political power and personal ego. Key secondary characters with their own story lines add color to the narrative, often humorously but always to the point. The storyline sets up the second novel, Beware of Liars, which explores in greater depth Tucker's and Jill's inner turmoil and their growing need for faith. A third novel is planned.
