It was a time when the world seemed to be spiraling out of control. May, Alphina, Charlie, and all the rest suddenly lost what little control they still had, all in one morning, the day the world changed. One by one they found their way to the same place in their little known town, the house with the open garage door. They would all say that somehow, they were guided to that block and something about that open door beckoned to them. But where would they go from here? Was there anywhere they would be safe from a world where right was suddenly declared to be wrong, and everything they had ever known was now turned on its head?
