In this book, Mael, who is destined to be the salvation figure for the remote planet of Tessalindria, is coming of age and finds himself at odds with the local religious leaders. When they try to silence him by attempting to kill him, he escapes into one of the space time portals on Tessalindria and is transported to earth, appearing in Jerusalem, two days before the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth.
The book covers the next 40 days as Mael joins in with the apostles of Jesus while Jesus instructs them more completely about their role in the world.
The book is a fictionalized account of these 40 days before Jesus's Ascension as Mael's journey leads him to discover who he is and what his role will be when transported back to Tessalindria.
