Ben a basketball fanatic is forced to spend the summer with his parents in a sleepy village. He is pleasantly surprised when he finds out that some local lads have a basketball team called The Eagles. However he is disgusted to find out that they are Christians, and he doesn't want to become 'religious'. As he walks along the beach he picks up a glowing stone and is transported back in time. He finds himself in a strange country with unfamiliar people and speech. This happens to him several times, and he wonders what is happening to him. As he befriends the basketball team he begins to realise that he has actually witnessed events from the Bible. Ben, who has never gone to church and who had no interest in Jesus, begins to be challenged by what he discovers. Meanwhile, he has the opportunity to play in a basketball tournament with The Eagles, when one of the team is injured. Ben is delighted, but soon discovers the team's standards are different from his own. He gets involved in a fight and wants nothing more to do with Christians and believes they are not living in the real world. However after an amazing time-travel experience he is forced to think again.
