Lewisia Anna has returned to the Amharclann with a new chapter in her Story-a chapter she doesn't want the citizens to hear. As Lewis tries to figure out how to delay the writing of her Story, she realizes a lot happened in the Amharclann while she was in the Mines, including the arrival of her childhood adversaries-her twin cousins, Astrid and Acacia. When Nevan suddenly leaves the Amharclann, and Dessa is accused of tampering with her Story, Lewis is left to navigate the truth of what is happening to the Stories in the Amharclann. It will take the help of a new friend in a new garden to convince Lewis that telling her Story might be the only way to save the citizens and bring the light of the mist back to the Amharclann.
